Phenylbutazone is a powerful non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that also has a strong analgesic, antipyretic and antirheumatic action. It is a pyrazolonic derivative that as such acts in the initial phase of the inflammatory process, preventing or decreasing vascular permeability and therefore edema, as well as the constitution of the inflammatory focus.
INDICATIONS
Artralgin is indicated in those cases that require analgesic and / or anti-inflammatory activity, such as arthritis, osteoarthritis, tendonitis, bursitis and any type of rheumatism or inflammatory process associated with the musculoskeletal system.
PRECAUTIONS
The abusive use of phenylbutazone can cause gastrointestinal disorders. In that case, its administration should be suspended and the treating veterinarian consulted. These disorders generally occur at doses greater than 8.8 mg of phenylbutazone per kg of body weight.

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSE
The usual dose referred to the active principle is 4.4 mg of phenylbutazone per kpv.
Administer by slow intravenous route 2.2 mL of artralgin every 100 kpv.
In those cases that the veterinarian deems appropriate, up to 4 mL per 100 kpv can be administered, always under his supervision.
The duration of treatment is 5 days and is generally sufficient. This can be repeated after a week, if necessary.
Administration via intra-articular or intramuscular route is not recommended, as it is very irritating.
